Alkem Laboratories – Multi-Room AV Collaboration Enablement
Project Overview
At Alkem Laboratories’ Lower Parel office, multiple meeting and executive spaces were used for leadership discussions, internal reviews, and video conferencing. The requirement was to upgrade and integrate AV capabilities across rooms of varying sizes, while leveraging existing VC infrastructure wherever possible. The challenge was to deliver a consistent, reliable collaboration experience without increasing operational complexity.
Design Intent
The objective was to create a standardized yet flexible collaboration environment that supported video conferencing and BYOD content sharing across small, medium, and large meeting spaces, ensured clear audio and video performance, and introduced intuitive control for executive use.
Solution Approach
Play implemented a room-specific AV strategy focused on usability and predictability:
- Existing VC codecs and displays were integrated with structured tabletop connectivity to enable reliable video conferencing
- Executive spaces were enhanced with a complete VC setup, large-format display, and iPad-based automation for intuitive system control
- Medium-sized meeting rooms were equipped with wireless presentation devices, structured cable management, and multi-format switching to support both wired and wireless workflows
- Large meeting spaces were upgraded with a full VC environment, video wall, dual HDMI table connectivity, and wired and wireless presentation options
- Ceiling speakers were deployed to ensure uniform audio distribution and clear far-end communication across larger rooms
The solution ensured consistent workflows and minimal reliance on technical support.
Outcome
The upgraded AV environments now deliver seamless collaboration across all meeting spaces, with faster meeting start-up, clear communication, and scalable performance. Teams can move between rooms confidently, supporting efficient collaboration and future-ready operations across Alkem Laboratories’ corporate workspace.
