HUL Indore – Multi-Space AV & Automation Enablement
Project Overview
At HUL’s Indore facility, multiple spaces served distinct purposes—from collaborative squad discussions and formal boardroom meetings to employee wellness areas. The challenge was to design AV solutions that could adapt to varied usage scenarios while remaining simple, reliable, and easy to operate. The existing requirement called for flexible meeting configurations, BYOD-friendly collaboration, and integrated automation without increasing user complexity.
Design Intent
The objective was to create a versatile and intuitive AV environment that could seamlessly transition between collaborative, executive, and recreational use cases—ensuring consistent performance, quick meeting readiness, and minimal dependency on technical support.
Solution Approach
Play delivered a flexible AV and automation design tailored to each space while maintaining a unified user experience:
- Squad space equipped with a large display, USB camera, and wireless presentation with HDMI switching for BYOD meetings
- Table-mounted wall plate connectivity and cable TV integration to support collaboration as well as news and entertainment use
- Gym area enhanced with a suspended display, ceiling speakers, and a compact amplifier to support music playback and visual content
- Collapsible room designed to function as a combined boardroom or as two independent meeting rooms based on partition configuration
- Each meeting room equipped with large displays, USB VC cameras, and wireless presentation for standalone operation
- Combined boardroom mode enabled through projector-based display, ceiling microphones, ceiling speakers, and a centralized audio processor
- Room automation implemented using keypads and a touch panel, enabling one-touch control for lighting, curtains, projector activation, and meeting-ready scenarios
The solution ensured that room behavior remained predictable and intuitive regardless of configuration.
Outcome
The deployment delivered a flexible, automation-enabled workplace environment at HUL Indore. Teams can now transition seamlessly between different meeting formats, launch sessions faster, and collaborate effectively across spaces. Integrated automation simplified room operation, while consistent AV performance enhanced both professional collaboration and employee experience.
