Project Overview

SBUT Cluster 1 forms part of a large-scale urban redevelopment initiative at Bhendi Bazar, comprising institutional facilities, residential units, commercial spaces, and expansive community areas. The project required a future-ready technology backbone capable of supporting large-scale events, education, daily operations, security, and communication across the campus.

Given the scale and diversity of spaces, the challenge was to deploy integrated AV, IT, and low-voltage systems that could function independently within individual zones while remaining seamlessly connected across the entire cluster, including the ability to broadcast events from a central venue to multiple buildings and common areas.

Design Intent / Client Objective

  • Enable campus-wide event broadcasting from a central venue to multiple buildings and open areas
  • Provide flexible AV infrastructure for events, classrooms, and conference spaces
  • Establish a unified AV and IT backbone across institutional, residential, and commercial zones
  • Ensure reliable public address, surveillance, and communication systems
  • Support future scalability as buildings and spaces become operational
  • Maintain centralized equipment management with ease of access at user endpoints

Solution Approach

Play approached SBUT Cluster 1 as a multi-building, multi-system integration project, focusing on scalability, distribution, and operational reliability.

Key elements of the solution included:

  • A centrally designed event space acting as the primary broadcast hub for the campus
  • AV-over-IP architecture enabling live event distribution across buildings, common areas, and outdoor spaces
  • Centralized equipment rooms housing AV and IT systems for simplified monitoring and maintenance
  • Distributed audio systems across lobbies, circulation areas, and community zones for announcements and events

Educational & Administrative Spaces

  • Classroom and conference room connectivity designed for presentation and collaboration
  • Displays and network infrastructure supporting teaching, coordination, and information sharing
  • Digital signage deployed in common circulation areas

Event & Community Spaces

  • Display and audio systems designed for standalone use or campus-wide event relay

  • Uniform audio coverage to support gatherings and public functions

Residential & Commercial Areas

  • Voice and data infrastructure supporting residential communication and administrative areas

Saifee Masjid

  • Integrated sound reinforcement supporting sermons, prayers, and religious gatherings
  • Controlled audio distribution aligned with the campus-wide AV ecosystem

Additionally, BMS system was provided for the entire complex
